Why Henderson Sport & Social's Best Hours for Seven Hills Fall Monday Through Thursday

October 15, 2026

"We have sold out all of our weekends for tournaments," general manager Jeff Swanlund told the Las Vegas Review-Journal in early September, more than a month before the building's official opening. In the same sentence he said where the room for locals is: "Our weekdays, we're going to run local leagues, and those are still available to register for on our website."

The $70 million fieldhouse on Maryland Parkway just south of St. Rose Parkway has its official grand opening on Friday, October 16. Its address is 3375 St. Rose Parkway. For anyone in Seven Hills, the useful question is when the building has room for them. The business model, the price sheet and the league calendar all point to weeknights.

A Building Designed to Earn Money on Weekends

According to the Review-Journal, the City of Henderson put $60 million into the 180,000-square-foot, two-level complex and KemperSports put in $10 million. The city keeps ownership of the property. KemperSports runs the facility and its programming, according to the venue's grand opening announcement.

Swanlund described the deal plainly to the Review-Journal: "A traditional recreation center funded by the city costs taxpayers money every year. But when you add these additional amenities like the fitness gym and then especially the arcade, the bowling, the mini golf and laser tag, the full-service restaurant and bar, the economics begin to make sense." He added that it is "a profit share with Kemper Sports and the city of Henderson."

Regional tournaments are a big part of how that profit is supposed to come in. The city's project page projects $1.5 million in annual tax revenue and $39.1 million in total yearly economic output, and it credits part of that to the tournaments the facility draws. High school basketball filled the calendar first. The venue scheduled Coach Wootten's Top 150 Showcase for October 1 and 2. A later venue announcement named The Border League, scheduled for October 2 through 6, as an ESPN-televised showcase. The Review-Journal's September preview put the expected opening tournament crowd at more than 2,000 high school players.

This setup turns visitor weekends into revenue for the city, which keeps the venue open on Tuesday nights for the people who live a few exits away.

The Price Sheet Splits the Week the Same Way

The family entertainment wing, called the Social House, charges by the day of the week. Prices on the venue's attractions page go up Friday through Sunday and on holidays:

Attraction Monday to Thursday Friday to Sunday and holidays
Standard bowling, per lane per hour, up to six players $45 $55
VIP bowling, per lane per hour $55 $75
Krazy Darts, per bay, up to eight people $55 $65
Mini golf, per person $12 $15
Laser tag $10 one game, $17 two, $25 three Same

Bowling shoes cost $5 extra. The page lists 14 traditional lanes and 6 VIP lanes, and it has an arcade, but the arcade prices weren't shown in the page text. The biggest gap is on the VIP lanes, which cost $20 more per hour on weekends. A two-hour VIP booking on a Wednesday costs $40 less than the same booking on a Saturday, before shoes.

The attractions page also advertises 20% off for Henderson residents, and the city says that discount covers all recreational programming and activities. Neither source explains how residency is checked or when the discount is applied, so ask at booking.

League Nights Land on Monday and Wednesday

The weekday leagues Swanlund mentioned are where the courts and turf go back to local use. You don't need a facility membership to sign up for sports programs or visit the Social House. Only the fitness center requires one. The fall season runs October 26 through December 18, and registration closes October 16, the day of the grand opening.

Standard adult registration, from the venue's league pages:

  • Basketball: $925 per team or $139 per individual. Teams play one game a week on Monday or Wednesday evening, anywhere from 5:30 to 11 p.m. Divisions are Men's Competitive, Men's Recreation and Men's 35+, and a jersey is included.
  • Flag football: $825 per team or $159 per individual, with Monday or Wednesday evening games.
  • Volleyball: $975 per team or $110 per individual, played Wednesdays.
  • Bowling: $100 per individual.

Late registration costs more. A basketball team fee goes to $950, and an individual spot goes to $164. Henderson residents get 20% off registration fees.

Youth programs follow the same weekday pattern. Youth basketball, soccer, volleyball and bowling each run eight weeks, with practices and games mostly between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. on weeknights. Youth basketball costs $1,075 per team or $174 per individual. The venue's fall registration announcement also lists youth development programs for ages 5 and 6. The venue's sports pages offer court and turf rentals but don't post a public drop-in schedule. For now, leagues and rentals are the way to get on the courts.

Opening Week, by Date

The schedule has shifted a few times in the announcements, so here it is in order, based on the venue and the city:

  1. Monday, October 5: soft opening begins, according to the venue's announcement, with limited hours on Wednesday, October 7 and Thursday, October 15.
  2. Friday, October 16: official grand opening, and the last day to register for fall leagues. The city lists the celebration as October 16 and 17.
  3. October 16 through Saturday, October 17: a silent auction, with all proceeds going to the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation.
  4. Monday, October 26: first night of the fall league season.

An early 8 News Now report gave the grand opening as October 15. The city and the venue both say October 16. The venue hasn't posted daily hours for the entertainment wing yet. It points guests to its social media and website for updates.

The Second Floor and the Kitchen Stretch Out Weeknights

Upstairs is the one part of the building that runs on a membership. Kayla Morrow, the venue's director of sales and marketing, told the Review-Journal that gym memberships start at $55 a month, with 20% off for Henderson residents. The gym is open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekends. The second level also has a group fitness room and a day care center. The venue's announcement calls it a child-watch area, meant to let parents use the fitness, recreation and entertainment spaces.

The kitchen doesn't have a separate restaurant name. The venue's Eat & Drink page describes globally inspired, from-scratch food built around shareable boards and handhelds, plus a full bar with local craft beer, cocktails and wine. The boards include a Korean street market board for $39, a Mediterranean market board for $32 and a game day board for $41. A smash burger is $16 and a 16-inch cheese pizza is $20. The page says full drink menus are coming soon. The Review-Journal reports event spaces for groups of 25 to 75 people, plus a large second-floor balcony for private gatherings.

Put it together and a Wednesday works out like this. A volleyball team plays its league match, a family bowls a standard lane at the $45 weekday rate, and the table splits a Mediterranean board for $32. The same lane would cost $55 on Saturday, if the building weren't already busy with a tournament.

Saturday mornings have their own local option. The Henderson Farmers Market runs at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway, every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. all year. The city lists holiday closures on November 28 and December 26. The city's Heritage Harvest Festival is Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Park Senior Facility, 300 S. Racetrack Road. Entertainment is free, and a $5 wristband covers the extra attractions.

A fieldhouse with weeknight leagues a short drive from St. Rose Parkway is the kind of detail that shapes daily routines in Seven Hills.
